The weather in November is generally cold with temperature ranging from
5 to 15 Celsius.
Padova offers a number of places to visit. The city hosts one of the
oldest University in Europe (1222 date of foundation). We recommend a
visit to the old site of the University (in the centre of the city) where
visitors can see one of the first anatomical theatres in the world. Furthermore,
visitors can see the desk where Galileo use to give lessons when he was
professor at the University.
We recommend also a visit to the Cappella degli Scrovegni covered by a
series of frescos made by Giotto and his collaborators.
Finally, we recommend a walk in the center of the city where you can appreciate
the system of squares and, in the morning, you can visit the largest fruit
and vegetable market of the region that is definitely worth seeing. Padova
is really close to Venice (30 minutes by train, coach or car). Venice
can be reached easily by train. There are trains every 30 minutes. Padova
is also close to other cities in Veneto. By train, Vicenza and Verona
are, respectively, half an hour and one hour away.
